Lean Manufacturing Engineer

SFS Group USA, Inc. is seeking a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Wyomissing, PA. You will play a crucial role in driving continuous improvement initiatives within our production facility. We are seeking a hands-on and motivated individual who possesses expertise in lean principles and kaizen methodologies. You will be responsible for identifying areas of inefficiency, implementing process improvements, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement among our team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of lean principles across all areas of the production facility.

• Conduct value stream mapping and other lean tools to identify opportunities for waste reduction and process optimization.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement lean initiatives aimed at improving productivity, quality, and safety.

• Facilitate kaizen events and workshops to engage employees in problem-solving and process improvement activities.

• Coach and mentor team members on kaizen principles and methodologies to empower them to drive continuous improvement in their respective areas.

• Analyze production processes to identify bottlenecks, constraints, and areas for improvement.

• Develop and implement solutions to streamline workflows, reduce cycle times, and increase throughput.

• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of process improvements and make adjustments as needed.

• Develop and deliver training programs on lean principles, kaizen methodologies, and problem-solving techniques.

• Provide ongoing support and guidance to employees at all levels to ensure understanding and adoption of continuous improvement practices.

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, quality, and other departments to drive cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving overall performance and efficiency.

• Serve as a liaison between different teams to facilitate communication and alignment on improvement priorities and strategies.

• Maintain accurate documentation of lean initiatives, kaizen events, and process improvements.

• Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate progress, results, and opportunities for improvement to management and stakeholders.

The Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or related field.

• Proven experience in implementing lean principles and kaizen methodologies within a manufacturing or production environment.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, analyze data, and develop innovative solutions.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

• Hands-on approach with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve continuous improvement goals.

• Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.

• Proficiency in lean tools and techniques such as value stream mapping, 5S, kanban, and root cause analysis.
